Reboot for Business
A brief case study – I
My girlfriend and I were getting pedis one day when she told me about a meal she had at a local restaurant, “I had a bad meal,” she said pursing her lips. “My fish was so citrusy,” she puckered, “you could tell they were covering up the taste of the day-old fish.” No, she didn’t say anything to management; and you’re right, she won’t go back.
A brief case study - II
Another business often has five people working behind the deli counter. While the employees are busy engaging with Polish ham and cole slaw, real people and their wallets are ignored on the other side of the glass.
Why am I boring you with these stories?
Just because you had and idea and enough money to open your doors, doesn’t mean you are doing a good job.
Maybe it’s time to stop telling people what they want, and listen to what they are telling you.
So what is Reboot for Business?
It’s a three step process (as easy as washing your hair):
- Rewind – This is a celebration of what works for you; your authenticity, your passion and your vision. When you were a kid, maybe you rode your bike all day. Maybe you loved to camp, or swim. Whoever you were then you still are now. Did you stop having fun along the way? It’s time to get that back!
- Review – Let’s look at it closely shall we? Are you delivering what you promise with consistency, clarity and impeccability? People can smell a phony from far away, especially when the focus is off of them and on their wallets. Not sure what people think? Don’t worry, I’m going to ask them.
- Renew – Results don’t lie! Your new energy will take your business to new heights. You’ll wake up every day, a beloved member of your community, to celebrate your success!
